About Us

Kitcha by Tabby was born from one simple truth: running a home — cooking, planning, shopping, keeping track of everything — shouldn’t feel like a full‑time job. I wanted a kitchen that worked with me, not against me. So I built the app I always wished existed.

I created Kitcha while juggling a 9–5 job, running multiple ecommerce brands, taking care of my family, and building my dream of becoming a full‑time founder. Every feature inside Kitcha was built to solve a real problem I faced in my own kitchen — and now she’s here to help yours too.

Kitcha is your smart kitchen companion — designed to help you stay organized, save time, reduce waste, and make cooking easier. She keeps track of what you have, what you need, and what you’re planning to make. She reads your grocery receipts, organizes your inventory, suggests recipes based on what’s on hand, and even subtracts ingredients automatically when you cook.

Kitcha isn’t just an app — she’s a kitchen system.

What Kitcha Can Do

Kitcha is packed with powerful features designed to make your kitchen run smoothly:

  • Smart Inventory Tracking Add items to Pantry, Fridge, Freezer, Fresh Produce, Kitchen Essentials, and Cleaners — all organized automatically.

  • Receipt Scanner Scan your grocery receipt and Kitcha reads every item, tags it, and files it into the right category.

  • Meal Planner & “Made It” Plan your meals for the week and mark them “Made It” to automatically subtract ingredients from your inventory, with a clear summary of what was used.

  • Ingredient‑Based Recipe Suggestions Kitcha looks at what you already have and suggests recipes you can make right now — helping you use ingredients before they expire.

  • Photo‑Based Recipe Importing Import recipes not just from URLs, but from photos too. Snap a picture of a cookbook page, handwritten card, screenshot, or printed recipe, and Kitcha will read it and save it instantly.

  • Kitcha Taste Intelligence (Personalization Engine) Over time, Kitcha learns your cooking style, favorite ingredients, and the types of meals you prefer. She uses this to personalize recipe suggestions and highlight meals you’re more likely to enjoy.

  • Dietary Preferences & Recipe Filtering

Kitcha helps you stay aligned with your personal dietary choices — like gluten‑free, dairy‑free, vegetarian, low‑carb, or other lifestyle preferences. She can suggest recipes that fit your selected preferences and highlight meals commonly associated with certain diet styles.

Kitcha also helps you discover products and ingredients that match your chosen dietary filters, making it easier to shop and cook in a way that fits your household.

This feature is for convenience only and does not provide medical, nutritional, or allergy advice.

  • Smart Name Matching “French Fries” matches “Frys.” “Italian Sausage” matches “Sausage.” No more mismatched ingredients.

  • Real Unit‑Aware Math If a recipe calls for ½ cup of sour cream and you have a 16 oz tub, Kitcha converts it and shows exactly how much is left. Same for flour, sugar, and other baking staples.

  • Density‑Based Conversions Cups ↔ pounds conversions for staples like flour and sugar are handled automatically.

  • Voice Assistant (KTI) Add items, check inventory, and manage your kitchen hands‑free. (iOS wake word live — Android wake word coming soon.)

  • Grocery List Build your list, check items off, and send everything straight into your inventory.

  • Smart Recipe Sharing (New!) Share any recipe with friends and family using the new Share button. • If they have Kitcha → it drops right into their recipe box • If they don’t → they see a clean web preview with “Get Kitcha” buttons

Why I Built Kitcha

I built Kitcha because I wanted a kitchen that made sense. I wanted to stop wasting food. I wanted to stop buying things I already had. I wanted to stop guessing what was in my fridge. I wanted to stop losing recipes. I wanted to stop feeling overwhelmed.

And I wanted to prove — to myself, to my family, and to the world — that I could build something meaningful.

Kitcha is the first step in a much bigger vision.

Our Mission

To make kitchens smarter, simpler, and more joyful — one home at a time.

Our Founder

Hi, I’m Tabatha — mom, grandma, entrepreneur, app creator, and the heart behind Kitcha. I built this app from scratch while taking care of my family, working a 9–5, and running multiple ecommerce brands. My goal was to create something that helps families stay organized and gives me the freedom to leave my day job and build the life I’ve always dreamed of. Thank you for being part of this journey.
Kitcha is just getting started.
