Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

Kitcha by Tabby ("Kitcha," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Kick in the Kitch LLC, provides the Kitcha mobile app and this website (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information when you use the Services or communicate with us. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, password, and preferences, including any cooking preferences, dietary needs, or substitutions you tell Kitcha about.
  • Content you add in the app — inventory items, recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists.
  • Conversations with Kitcha — the messages you send and the replies she gives.
  • Camera, photos & microphone — only when you use those features (see "Mobile app details" below).
  • Device & usage information — device and browser type, IP address, identifiers, and how you interact with the Services, including through cookies and similar technologies on our website.
  • Subscription information — billing is handled by the App Store or Google Play. We do not store your payment card details.

How we use your information

To provide and improve the Services; maintain your account, inventory, recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists; answer your questions and act on your requests through Kitcha; remember your preferences; send service-related and (where permitted) promotional messages; keep the Services secure and prevent fraud; and comply with the law.

Cookies & analytics (website)

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies — including analytics and advertising tools such as Google and Microsoft (Bing) — to understand traffic and measure our marketing. Where required, we honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

How we disclose information

We share information with service providers who help us run the Services (such as cloud hosting, analytics, customer support, and subscription management); to comply with the law or valid legal process; to protect our rights and our users; and in connection with a business transfer such as a merger. We do not sell your app data.

Mobile app details (the Kitcha app)

The Kitcha app collects and processes certain information to provide core features — recipe import and creation, inventory management, meal planning, grocery lists, receipt scanning, and conversations with Kitcha, your in-app assistant.

  • Account information — email, password, and profile preferences.
  • Inventory data — items you add (names, quantities, categories, storage locations).
  • Recipe data — recipes you save, import, or create.
  • Meal plan & grocery data — meals you plan and your grocery list items.
  • Conversations with Kitcha — your messages and her replies.
  • Camera & photos — if you scan a receipt or import a recipe, images are sent to our AI provider to extract the text. Receipt images are not stored after processing; recipe images are not stored unless you save them.
  • Microphone — if you talk to Kitcha, your speech is transcribed by your device's built-in speech recognition (Apple or Google), and the resulting text is processed as described below.
  • Wake word ("Hey Kitcha") — if enabled, listening happens entirely on your device. No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted while Kitcha waits for her name. Nothing is sent anywhere until you say it and start speaking.
  • Notifications — if enabled, reminders about inventory, grocery lists, or meal planning.
  • Device information & subscription status.

AI & voice processing

Kitcha's assistant features are powered by third-party AI services. To answer your questions, understand and generate recipes, and read the photos you scan, the app sends the relevant information to these providers:

  • Anthropic, PBC (Claude) processes your messages, the relevant inventory/recipe/preference details, recipe requests, and photos of recipes or receipts you choose to scan. Anthropic does not use this information to train its AI models.
  • ElevenLabs converts Kitcha's written replies into spoken audio — only the text she is about to say is sent, never your voice recordings.

This information is used only to provide the features you asked for. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it for any other purpose. We never send your password or payment details to any AI provider. Preferences Kitcha remembers are stored in your own account, never become part of any AI provider's model, are never shared with other users, and are deleted when you delete your account.

Third-party services used in the app: Anthropic (Claude), ElevenLabs, RevenueCat, the Apple App Store / Google Play, and cloud hosting providers.

Your choices & rights

You can disable camera, microphone, or notification permissions anytime in your device settings, and turn off the "Hey Kitcha" wake word in the app's settings. You may delete your account and all associated data in the app (Settings → Delete Account) or at share.kitchaworld.com/delete-account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, delete, correct, or port your personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. You can opt out of promotional emails using the unsubscribe link in any such email.

Children, security & retention

The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority in your jurisdiction. No security measures are perfect, and information sent over the internet may not be fully secure. We retain your information as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with the law, and resolve disputes.

International transfers & changes

We may process your information outside the country where you live, using recognized transfer mechanisms where required. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will post the revised version here with a new "Last updated" date.

Terms of Service

Last updated: July 31, 2026

Welcome to Kitcha by Tabby, operated by Kick in the Kitch LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms govern your use of the Kitcha mobile app and this website (the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Access & your account

You must be at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and for all activity on your account. Please provide accurate information, and do not transfer, sell, or share your account with anyone else.

2. Subscriptions, billing & renewals

Kitcha offers auto-renewing subscriptions. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, which process your payment. Your subscription automatically renews at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends. Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy and by the app stores' policies and applicable law.

3. Important — about Kitcha's AI & recipes

Kitcha uses artificial intelligence to suggest recipes, read receipts and recipe photos, and help manage your kitchen. Kitcha's suggestions — including recipes, dietary filters, and any nutrition-related information — are provided for convenience only and are not medical, nutritional, or allergy advice. AI can make mistakes. Always check ingredients and follow your own dietary, allergy, and food-safety needs, and use your own judgment.

4. Acceptable use

Use the Services lawfully. You agree not to: break any law; infringe intellectual property or other rights; harass, abuse, or harm others; transmit false or misleading information or spam; upload viruses or malicious code; scrape, reverse-engineer, or copy the Services; circumvent security features; or resell or exploit any part of the Services. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Intellectual property

The Services and all related trademarks, text, graphics, images, and design are owned by Kitcha by Tabby / Kick in the Kitch LLC or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-commercial license to use the Services. Do not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Services without our written consent. "Kitcha," "Kitcha by Tabby," and related logos are our trademarks.

6. Your content & feedback

Your recipes and content remain yours; you grant us the limited license needed to operate the Services for you (for example, to store and sync your data). If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it to improve the Services, with no obligation of confidentiality or compensation.

7. Third-party services & links

The Services rely on third parties such as Apple, Google, Anthropic, ElevenLabs, RevenueCat, and cloud hosting providers, and may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, or practices, and your use of third-party services is subject to their terms.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kitcha by Tabby and its owners, employees, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including lost profits or loss of data, arising from your use of the Services. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kitcha by Tabby and Kick in the Kitch LLC from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising out of your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your violation of the rights of a third party.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if you violate these Terms or as otherwise permitted by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

12. General

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. We may update these Terms and will post changes here; your continued use means you accept them.
