I created Kitcha while juggling a 9-to-5 job, running multiple ecommerce brands, taking care of my family, and building my dream of becoming a full-time founder. Every feature inside Kitcha was built to solve a real problem I faced in my own kitchen — and now she's here to help yours too.
Kitcha is your smart kitchen companion — designed to help you stay organized, save time, reduce waste, and make cooking easier. She keeps track of what you have, what you need, and what you're planning to make. She reads your grocery receipts, organizes your inventory, suggests recipes based on what's on hand, and even subtracts ingredients automatically when you cook.
Kitcha isn't just an app — she's a kitchen system.
What Kitcha can do
Add items to Pantry, Fridge, Freezer, Fresh Produce, Kitchen Essentials, and Cleaners — all organized automatically.
Scan your grocery receipt and Kitcha reads every item, tags it, and files it into the right category.
Plan your week and mark meals “Made It” to automatically subtract ingredients from your inventory, with a clear summary of what was used.
Kitcha looks at what you already have and suggests recipes you can make right now — helping you use ingredients before they expire.
Import recipes from URLs and photos. Snap a cookbook page, handwritten card, screenshot, or printed recipe, and Kitcha reads and saves it instantly.
Over time, Kitcha learns your cooking style, favorite ingredients, and the meals you prefer — then personalizes suggestions and highlights meals you're more likely to enjoy.
Stay aligned with choices like gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, or low-carb. Kitcha suggests recipes and helps you find products that fit your household.
For convenience only — not medical, nutritional, or allergy advice.
“French Fries” matches “Fries.” “Italian Sausage” matches “Sausage.” No more mismatched ingredients.
Recipe needs ½ cup of sour cream and you have a 16 oz tub? Kitcha converts it and shows exactly how much is left — same for flour, sugar, and baking staples.
Cups ↔ pounds conversions for staples like flour and sugar are handled automatically.
Add items, check inventory, and manage your kitchen by voice. (iPhone wake word is live — Android wake word coming soon.)
Build your list, check items off, and send everything straight into your inventory.
Share any recipe with the Share button. Friends with Kitcha get it dropped into their recipe box; friends without see a clean web preview and a “Get Kitcha” button.
Why I built Kitcha
I built Kitcha because I wanted a kitchen that made sense.
- I wanted to stop wasting food.
- I wanted to stop buying things I already had.
- I wanted to stop guessing what was in my fridge.
- I wanted to stop losing recipes.
- I wanted to stop feeling overwhelmed.
And I wanted to prove — to myself, to my family, and to the world — that I could build something meaningful. Kitcha is the first step in a much bigger vision.
To make kitchens smarter, simpler, and more joyful — one home at a time.
Meet Tabatha
Hi, I'm Tabatha 👋
I'm a wife, mom, grandma, entrepreneur, and the creator of Kitcha — an app I built completely from scratch at my home desk with determination, caffeine, and whatever chaos was happening in the background that day. Between family life, work, and running multiple ecommerce brands, I poured myself into creating something real families can actually use to feel more organized, calmer, and a little more in control of their kitchen life.
Kitcha wasn't built in a fancy office with a team of developers. It was built by me — one woman, a laptop, a whole lot of grit, and the belief that families deserve tools that make life easier. Every feature comes from real moments in my own home, real needs, and real love.
Thank you for being here and being part of this journey. Truly — it means the world to me.
